Can anyone recommend a good PC base for around the £450 mark? Need it to be as fast as possible and have a decent graphics card.

There are so many CPU's out on the market its mind boggling lol.

    Thanks

The best thing would be to build your own, that way you have what spec you want.

            HP Pavilion S3541

Dont get a made to order build your own as my mate is manager at microdirect and they allways make more out of pre builds than selling seperates.plus if you build your own you know what is in it and it is fully upgradeable if u wish to do so later on.

it will take you about 30 mins to build your own and about another hour to reprogram it.

if you have £450 for just the pc hear is a clue on what u could get.

£473 and that will be ultra quick as well.

if u go for a pre build make sure u dont put vista on it as it slows down your computer by 33%

advent 7113 note book, really good processor, sound and graphics card and very good quality TFT screen

it has vista on it but you can get an xp option, i reccomend the xp coz vista is really bad

The hp pavillion has got intergrated graphics and is no good for gaming and is not fully upgradeable. so stay away from and make`s like HP , Dell , Compaq and so on build your own or if u know any 1 who builds them buy the seperates and get them to build it. It will work out better for you in the end.

Pretty sure Dell have a deal on one of their XPS systems. Your going to need something powerful for what you intend to do. £450 might be a bit tight.
                            I see dumb people.......
                            .....they're everywhere
.....they walk around like everyone else
.....they don't even know they're dumb
