  • a tip for baz/mel

dont try and change the rocker cover gaskets on your vectra. did my girlfreinds today and ohhhh what a nightmare.

had to take half the engine apart just to get to it. im glad the rear one didnt need doing.

it is bad just for a rocker cover gasket.

i can remember when it was 10min job to do them.

v6 engines are a pig to work on, especially when theyre origionally designed to fit a saab and not a vaux

Currently have the 107 out front on the test drive... done to ikea nottingham and back today and I quite like it... few faults with it but nothin i hope cant be sorted. Were getting them to see how much they will give us as a p/ex.

They were designed for both, but the Saabs run a Turbo on theres aswell.

By the way, i dont think you had to take the inlet section that houses the injectors off, i dont remember taking that off when doing rocker cover gaskets.

You think thats bad, you wann try doing Omega V6 ones

I am upset to say I dont think I will have to work on a V6 vectra again, unless I get a Vectra C 3.2 or a 2.8 turbo VXR.

had to take inllet manifold and injectors out as the 3 branches to the front bank covered the bolt holes.
