I've spoken to John today, and he was still in hopsital and is still pretty hurt and shaken.

I for one wish him a speedy & full recovery...

Thank goodness for race car safety.... If that had been a road car, I'm dread to think what the outcome was...

saw this on facebook this morning. Bad times.

As JT said in another thread, if it was standard car or even a orad car with a cage he would be in a world of grief right now. Full race cage saved both his and drivers lives apparently. Thank **** for that.

Get well soon both you and driver.

Blamey, appears to be more damage to the front end than the cabin area - at least you are both OK - this is no excuse for missing Brands Hatch btw

EDIT:- I've just read the following - obviously the picture doesnt tell the whole story !!

60mph impact into a concrete wall sideways. Driver (I was the passenger) was old cold tyres but I'm told the circuit said oil was down. Driver was knocked out but is ok now and I have three broken ribs and kidney damage. Car is destroyed, whole chassis is 4 inches narrower, engone block cracked but cage did its job and saved us). No doubnt if we were in a road car we'd both be dead.
