Why are the binmen on strike?

How hard is it to wheel a bin from the side of the road hook it to the back of a truck and put it back once emptied.

Im sorry but its not rocket science and the pay they get is probibly alot for what skill is involved anyway.

a bit of info to what started this bin strike as quoted from local paper

                Leeds City Council.
In common with other local authorities Leeds City Council has by law to equalise the pay of men and women.

The union says Council "equalisation" proposals would mean pay cuts of up to £6,000 a year for 2,000 workers
