  • Did you know ...

    ... that when braking hard and the ABS has kicked in, the rear break lights flash madly.
    So if you see this on a motorway .. at least you will know to start to slow more quickly.
    A very useful standard safety feature and I only discovered it due to the VXR track day.

      That's very useful to know! I was following a white transit through Aylesbury not long ago and he hit the brakes really hard and stopped dead, I didn't know at the time as I couldn't see in front of him but he had rear ended the car in front, needless to say as the 3rd car I had to hit the brakes hard and the ABS kicked in, it was very effective and I pulled up with a couple of meters to spare, I looked in the mirror in case I was about to get hit but the cars behind has slowed down to a crawl, I had thought they must have seen the whole thing, but maybe they saw my brakes lights going nuts instead!
