If I was to order one of these for say my son, it would have to be the middle one as its the best alrounder

The best is the third, the worse is the 1st although it has a good dedicated vga card, which could help certain apps

Its all about budget and what you are going to do with it thats matter most - hth

Honestly don't get a dell mate, iv'e went through 2 in 6 months mate. Get a Macbook pro they are much better, impossible to get Viruses on them and they come with there own virus protection.

The only reason that they are virtually viruses/malware free is the very fact that no-one wants to bring Apple down unlike Microsoft due to BG making too much money, nor do Apple have a BBS where all the flaws are posted for all to see and for ppl to take advantage of

In summary no-one is interested in coding Viruses for Apples just yet.....to prove their ability and at the sametime have a pop at BG

The previous disadvantage of having an Apple as you maybe aware was the cost & availability of the software required by the user ie. like Windows versions. This now isnt an issue and they also now are capable of running Windows ops sys & their apps IMO better than Windows

Hope that clarifies the situation and in a way your are right.

Had my Dell nearly 5years - no issues, even came with 3yrs next day support which I've never had to ring - corporately we also use Dell and failures are few and far between for the 350 Dell users on site that I support. To be honest hardware is a lot more reliable these days imo to the point you can't really go wrong spending £400-500 on a laptop

Thinking of getting a new Inspiron 15R between now and xmas

Dell don't just sell online these days - think they gave that up when they got knocked off the top spot by HP, I'm sure they will be keen to keep the brands quite seperate as well imo
